With Manu, I wanted to write about someone who comes from two worlds but belongs to neither, someone with access to two languages who lacks the vocabulary to define herself. How was it to explore that theme in your books? It’s pretty similar to the original, with the difference that each team has two brujas who spell the field to make things more complicated! Fitting in is a huge theme in your books, can you talk a bit about Manu’s headspace going into Cazadora? Or at the very beginning of Lobizona if we wanna avoid spoilers. Fútbol (soccer) is a huge part of Argentine culture, so I knew I wanted to include it, only I created my own version: Septibol. Only I wanted to write about a character who doesn’t fit into this binary- a lobizona. The books are inspired by Argentine folklore that says the seventh consecutive son in a family will be a lobizón & the seventh daughter a bruja. Can you talk me through the inspiration for the story? The magical world? The sports? Both LOBIZONA and CAZADORA had me always surprised about the twists and turns. Wolves of No World is a dulology-at least for now! 😉 What’s funny is that when I first sat down to outline Lobizona, I didn’t realize I’d actually outlined two books in one-in other words, my midpoint was really the ending! So Cazadora is technically the second half of my Lobizona outline, haha. Note from Lili: When I sent this question to Romina, I had misread the Goodreads listing and thought it was a trilogy, but it’s not! My bad! When you were envisioning the series, did you always know that it was going to be three books? Did you have a set plan for what would happen in each book?
